I grew up in a small town in Michigan. I have always loved animals since childhood, but my passion to help them started, quite frankly, due to one special dog. I was fortunate to have grown up with an amazingly sweet black Labrador Retriever named Molly. She was my best friend, but she, unfortunately, had some challenging medical issues during her life. As I grew up my strong desire to protect her, and all animals, intensified and led me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in 2012. I later earned my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine located in St. Kitts. The warmer climate and beautiful beaches offered in St. Kitts provided a welcome break from the harsh Michigan winters and greatly enhanced my overall veterinary school experience. I left St. Kitts to complete my clinical training at Colorado State University. After graduation, I completed additional training at a specialty practice in California and then subsequently relocated to Illinois where I worked for a busy small animal practice for several years.

Some of my family members relocated to Charleston in 2019, and I shortly followed thereafter! It was an easy decision given I could be closer to my family and live in such a beautiful area with so much history (not to mention the fabulous weather and beaches which are reminiscent of the Caribbean!).

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, drawing, tennis, traveling, and scuba diving. Most of my free time is spent with my dog, Evie, whom I adore! Somehow, I have been blessed with two sweet Black Labradors in my lifetime! Both remain my constant sources of inspiration to provide excellent care to all pets like them!

I am very excited to be a part of team Park West Vet! My special interests include surgery, laparoscopic surgery, and internal medicine, but I enjoy all aspects of patient care and take great pride in treating each case with thoughtful, gold-standard medicine. I look forward to meeting our PWVA clients and assisting them in the care of their wonderful pets!
