When I was six years old, I saw a baby skunk floating downstream outside my childhood home. Without thinking, I waded in the water, picked it up (not recommended), and joined it with its family on the opposite bank. Later, I thought, I want to help animals for the rest of my life!
Today, I am living that dream...but with fewer skunks. Every day, I have the honor of helping (and saving!) cats and dogs. I love the daily challenges and puzzles that come with caring for species that cannot advocate for themselves.
I look forward to watching your puppies and kittens grow while I help you navigate chronic diseases and ensure they age with grace. It is an honor to be part of a team that shares my same passion for helping animals, educating pet parents, and desiring to always be better. I dabble in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but I am especially interested in feline medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ultrasound.
I grew up in Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) and graduated from Northeastern University with degrees in biology, marketing, and psychology. I completed my veterinary school dream at Ross University on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and completed my clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. Years later, on vacation, my husband and I visited Charleston and fell in love with the Lowcountry (who doesn't?)! We adore our beach life down here and share it with our three cats, Willis, Bert, and Mílá, and our beagle, Bulleit.
When I am not at the clinic, you can find me outside enjoying the beautiful weather, baking, working out, or sipping bourbon.
