I grew up in a suburb of Boston. It was not unusual to find me playing with our family dog, Huck, on an obstacle course set up out of lawn furniture or snuggling up with our cat, Pepper, binge-watching a TV series. I vividly remember the day that I told my parents I wanted to become a veterinarian. At a young age, I witnessed the compassion and expertise of the local equine veterinarian with a colicky horse. From that point on, every school essay, school project, and summer job centered around helping animals and advocating for their needs.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky where I worked as a surgical technician at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. I attended Colorado State University where I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. As a recipient of the Health Professions Scholarship Program, I had the privilege of serving in the United States Army as a veterinarian taking care of Military Working Dogs, service members' pets, food safety, and public health missions. It is an honor to work with the most elite canine athletes!

Upon graduation, I was commissioned a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. My first year I traveled to Texas and Washington, completing basic officer training and additional veterinary training before the luck of the draw brought me to South Carolina. I worked for three years as the Officer in Charge of the Joint Base Charleston Veterinary section. I will continue to challenge myself and develop my leadership skills in the Army Reserve.

After traveling around the country, I could not be more excited to call Charleston home! Me and my travel buddy, Roscoe, together we have visited 35 states. He is most happy prancing around the sand dunes of Sullivan's Island! Outside of veterinary medicine, I love spending time on the water, playing kickball, and occasionally embracing the horse girl I am at heart.

There is no better way to spend my day than doing something I love with people who all feel the same way! I am very excited to be a part of the Park West Veterinary team. I am humbled by the trust placed in me, not only by my patients but also by the people who love them. I treasure the long-term relationships that I develop with my clients as we work together to ensure that the pets they love receive the best care possible and are always treated with kindness, compassion, and respect. My special interests include sports medicine, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.
