I grew up in the northeastern part of Illinois near the border of Wisconsin. My family has a hobby farm and we've had all types of animals throughout the years. Caring for dogs, cats, sheep, goats, alpacas, a herd of Belted Galloway and more helped shape my childhood and educational career.

I attended the University of Illinois for my undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences and then stayed there to complete my veterinary degree. After 8 years surrounded by corn fields, I graduated veterinary school in 2009, got married a week later, and moved to the western suburbs of Chicago to begin practicing veterinary medicine. A love of travel took my wife, Aubrey, and me all around the country. Eventually, we decided on warmer weather and the ocean in our life. We arrived here in Charleston on January 1st, 2018. Life by the beach still feels like a vacation.

Outside of veterinary medicine, exploring and enjoying Charleston and the Lowcountry is my top priority. Volleyball, kayaking, and fishing are some of my favorite activities. My pet count is currently at four. I have two dachshunds named Iris and Jack, a cat named Shadow that is very spoiled, and a snake.

As a small animal veterinarian, I am experienced in all aspects of pet care. I enjoy helping pets and chatting with their people! My special interests are soft tissue surgery, dental surgery, and endoscopy.
