Dental Care

Over the last decade, we have recognized the increased importance of dental health in pets. Tartar, gingivitis, and tooth decay occur over time in most pets because they don't brush their teeth as often as we do. Dental disease is a constant source of infection for the heart, kidneys and other organs. It also produces discomfort that may decrease your pet’s desire to eat solid foods or play with toys.

We are proud that we have the most up to date equipment to treat dental disease, including digital dental x-rays. This allows us to detect if there is any disease beneath the gum line that we would not be able to see otherwise. We are often able to find abscesses, broken teeth, resorbed roots, retained roots, etc. thanks to dental radiographs.

Our well-trained staff is abreast on the latest techniques, and our doctors have spent time training under board-certified veterinary dentists. We utilize local anesthesia during dental extractions to ensure your pet does not feel any discomfort during or after the procedure. Our goal is to educate you on the importance of dental care and provide your pet with a healthy comfortable mouth.
